Corner Cabinet Issues

Post by Nat Wheatley »

On the attached cabinet, the front row of shelf holes are 3/4" further in from the front edge, then their entered value. I can 'cheat' them to the correct spot, but it then throw off the corresponding holes on each of the backs. Is this just an error, I've never known why it would do this.

Also, shouldn't fasteners be applied where the 2 back pieces meet? I've applied RTA fitting globally to the cabinet, yet the 2 back pieces butt together. I always end up screwing them together, which isn't a big deal, but I'm not clear on why there isn't a joinery option for this joint.
