Hi Stephen,
Yes, you can use the lock dado joint. I'm assuming you want a blind dado with pilot holes for screws...
You can define a new RTA pattern in the hardware hole editor, and choose that as the RTA pattern to apply with the lock dado joint.

If you are using a butt joint you can apply the screw hole pattern as just an RTA Fitting

Hi,

If you need the holes to match a 32mm pattern so you can drill the shelf with a 32mm drill it is impossible to use the RTA pattern unless I am missing something.
If you just need holes evenly spaced it will work well.

Maybe you could create an "rta" pattern that has a hole at 0,0 then add holes to left and right with 32mm spacing, then when you use the pattern, increase the value for what part size that will use a "single" hole. I think this is what you mean?

Hi Daniel,

We put 4 screws in our base cabinet joints & 2 dowels to align the screws end up being multiples of 32 but not on 32 mm so 160 or 128 between screws depending. Last time I tried to make it work there just was no way to do it. We create a pattern in the part editor then make a copy of the pattern so we can apply it to the next cabinet but if you change cabinet depth you need to start over.

Hi Gerry,
You could put the holes in via the part editor and constrain them as needed - I know this might not be ideal, but you could do it. I'm sure you would also end up with lots of seed cabinets depending on varying depths. It is possible though.

Hi Josh,
That is what we are doing now but as you say it is a fiddle when you change cabinet depths you need to make a new seed. It would be great if we could set up a pattern then apply it like a hardware pattern to edge joints in construction settings. Maybe in the next version.

Thanks,
Gerry
