Uninvited addition to my cabinet

Post by Donald Thomson »

Went to modify the construction parameters to this cabinet and somehow an uninvited part was added to it and I have no idea what it is or why it was added. Hovering the cursor over it does not yield any information about the part.

Anyone got any ideas where this might have come from?

Also, how do I get rid of it?

Could you post the cabinet so some one could check it out?

Don,

Not sure what has happened to this cabinet. Is this the only one you know of that is doing this for you? The one you attached here was saved in the new version, would you happen to have a version of this cabinet before you saved it in Bld 13? I was able to eventually get the goofed up extra left end removed, and then re-added, but I had to loose the stretchers in the process. I will attach it for you in case you want to try and build the cabinet back from there. Anyway, if you have the cabinet pre-saved in Bld 13, please get it to me.

I did the same thing Scott. I deleted all the uninvited parts (stretcher, faceframe rail, and that weird piece) and just re added them. The cabinet has been repaired and is ok now.

I only have the cabinet in the newest build. Also, in the job I'm working on, this is the only cabinet (out of 12) that had the brain-fart.

I just thought it was interesting that this happened.

Don,

Well, I guess we will have to call it good for now. If you can reproduce it, please let me know.

Just a little note about your problem. I've had things like that happen a few times in the past for no reason other than a glitch in the system. Most of the time I remembered rebooting and starting over. That gave me piece of mind that it probably wouldn't cause problems later. I'm thinking it was probably graphics related.
