dimensions and measurements (probably simple ?'s)

Post by Brandon Harrel »

I am struggling with this new software on several (likely simple) subjects....

How can I create length dimension to my drawings? EX: distance between 2 objects, or a scale to use for reference measurements. I am familiar to AUTOCAD and AUTOCAD LTE, which has very easy click-to-measure abilities. but not seen the same here, as expected

How can I set a setting to assign a length to each cabinet as it is set in the layout?

I can only click to show dimension in one or two locations.

When I show a drawing or rendering to my customers, I can allow them a 3d rendering, but often times the opposing wall (like in a galley kitchen) obstructs the views. Any suggestions?

any additional input is appreciated?

Hello Brandon
when in the layout you can click on items and see measurements
when rendering, right click on a wall and you will have an option to hide it

you can do all the dimensions you want in the Line Drawing Editor.

If you click on the drop down arrow on the cabinet in the item widow you want to change length, and choose change size.

You can hide wall in the render view, before you do the 3d rendering.

If you are new to the software I invite you to invest in the online training videos. It's only $25 a month and it will get you up to speed on areas that you are struggling with the software.
