Hickory without stripes

Post by Rick Nagy »

Hi there,

I added a rustic hickory texture and was wondering if there is a way to change the way it (or even the stock texture for natural hickory) repeats in my renderings. A hickory drawing always ends up looking like a zebra when I'm done with it. Can the number of repeats be reduced on doors / paneled sides?

Thanks,

Rick

There are several hickory textures to choose from, but you can also go to the internet and search for Hickory. I saved the images to a folder at C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\materials. You can create your own new folder in the Materials folder or place them into an existing folder, such as "User Define." Then I created a material (sheet goods) with the image that I'd saved. Applied it globally to a cabinet.

If the grain on the jpg is horizontal, then you will get a more profound striping effect.
