Nest Diagram?
Let me start by saying I am really green when it comes to eCabinets. I've only been using it for a month or so and I will have to say it is a lot more complex than KCD but I have high hopes of learning and eventually purchasing a CNC. But, in the mean time I am still using KCD until I can learn a little more about eCabinets. I subscribed to the online videos which really help and read the forums whenever I have questions and can usually find the answer. But, this one I have not found. So, here it is and hopefully someone can help me out.
Whenever I click on the "nest diagram" icon and then try to "perform nest" I get this "Syntax Error (missing operator) in expression". Then if I try to go to File it keeps giving me a "Database Already Exists" message and won't let me do anything which forces me to force eCabinets to quit.
Thanks for any help!!!

Re: Nest Diagram?
Maybe try deleting these files and trying again.
C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz\thermtemp.twt
C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz\facetemp.txt
if it still happens zip your job up and post it.
C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz\thermtemp.twt
C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz\facetemp.txt
if it still happens zip your job up and post it.

Hey Rick,
It appears that I don't have either of those files or at least I can't find them. So, not really sure what's next? Thanks again

Re: Nest Diagram?
Calvin,
Along the same lines as mentioned in Rick Deskins' post, try the following:
(you may want to ensure that Windows is set to show hidden files and folders)
First try:
Close down eCabinet Systems and then open windows explorer and navigate to the folder { C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz }. See if the following files exist and if so delete them. { result.mdb, thermtemp.twt, and facetemp.txt }. After deletion, launch eCabSys again and try nesting.
If that does not help, then Try:
Close down eCabinet Systems and then open windows explorer and navigate to the folder { C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz }. Delete the file { zigaba.twt }. Then go to { C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\ } and delete the files { ff.twt, and thermwood7.ref }. Now run the install and choose the repair option. After the repair is done, launch eCabSys again and try nesting.

I have found the second files that you mentioned and deleted them. The first ones did not exist. What do you mean when you say "run the install"? Excuse my ignorance, this is all new to me and I'm putting in several hours a day trying to learn eCabinets. Thanks again for your help!!

Re: Nest Diagram?
Hi Calvin.
If I may answer your question that you directed to Scott G Vaal. Here is the steps to run the repair on eCabinets.
Go to control panel>programs>programs and features then select eCabinets build 15. Then towards the top of your screen you will see 3 options. Organize, Uninstall, Change, Repair. Click on repair.
Hope this helps

Re: Nest Diagram?
Ok, thanks for the help Scott. Unfortunately I am still getting the same "data base already exists" message. Then I can't do anything and have to go to Task Manager and force quit on eCabinets. Once I re-open eCabinets everything works fine until I try to generate nest diagrams.Scott Marshburn wrote:Hi Calvin.

I would if I knew how. I just bought a new PC just so I could run eCabinets on. I hated running Parallels and Windows on my Mac.

Is there a file called C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz\zigabax.twt? If so delete it. If you don't mind, can you post a screen shot of your C:\ProgramData\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\doors\Conestogaz directory?
