Printing Part Labels at Desktop

Post by J Sidney Smith »

I would like to print part labels for next job on Dymo 450 at my desktop when cnc and control nest are shut down for day (or weekend) and therefore not remotely connected. I'm running latest ecabs on Windows 7 64 bit. Can this be done without remote connection to control nest at machine?

I don't think that will work out - the labels have sheet number and such info on them and with the nest controller shut down
it wont have access to that - unless you nest and print labels to a file then print from the file.

Do you have Control nest desktop? If you do and you have a dymo printer at your computer then no problem. Nest, print labels, print sheets, and write code to a zip drive.

Thanks Forrest,

I talked to Thermwood today and got details in Control Nest Desktop. Sounds like a good solution for us.
