filename (cabinet name) sort logic

Post by Mark Hesketh »

Is there any way that we can get ecabinets to sort filenames alphanumerically using the same logic that Windows Explorer does? Makes it easier to build a catalogue using filenames that are intuitive for other users to find specific cabinets.

For example, in ecabs it is sorted:
cab-100
cab-102
cab-96.5
cab

In Windows it is sorted (as it logically should be):
cab
cab-96.5
cab-100
cab-102

Right now all of my parent cabinets get sorted to the end instead of at the beginning, and any alterations are sorted by looking at just the next digit rather than the entire number (in ecabs). Just makes it chunky and cumbersome when building a full library of cabinets.

... cranking my personal bit of OCD up a few notches here... :?
