"eCabinets has stopped working"

Post by Terry Hall »

We installed Windows 10 on one of our desktops last week with no issues, just needed to generate a new reg code. We installed Windows 10 on our laptop and had to get a new reg code as well. When we put the new reg code in we got the message above "eCabinets has stopped working". We uninstalled, reinstalled, and ran repairi, but continued to receive the same message. We upgraded to the latest Nvidia driver as well, but still no good.

For those of you who may experience the same thing, we were able to go to the control panel in windows 10 and advance to Program Compatibility Trouble Shooter, scroll down to Ecabinets, click on it and check the box "The program worked in earlier versions of window"s, then" test the program". We were able to boot Ecabinets up, but when we exit, we get the same message, "eCabinets has stopped working". Anybody have any suggestions, or fixes, we're open.

Wow, talk about a quick response! Thanks Scott and programmers, great job!

Apparently, our laptop was somehow defaulting to the onboard video card rather than the high performance Nvidia card. Scott and the programmer (not certain what his name was, but really good) walked me thru setting up the system to default to the Nvidia card and never use the onboard. Seems so simple now, but was frustrating.

So thanks again the the great Thermwood team for always going the extra mile for us.
