parts nested

Post by Mike Lew »

I like to make my top stretchers out of different material than carcass. I would like them to show up in the cutting list, but not in the nesting. I thought there was a way to do this. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

On the nesting page, go to "Filter" and take them out by clicking in box. Then re-nest the job.

Thanks Rob, I wasn't opening the tree far enough.

Hi Mike
A variation we use that may fit in with your system.
We have created a material 19mm x40 rail, and in construction setting for top material choose it, then set the front and back rails to 40mm.
As long as you have your saw blade Kerf under setting preferences/ standard settings as 3mm or what ever, it wont nest the material. (if you make the material 46mm or bigger it will)
It saves turning the tree setting off and comes up with a list saying "Warning the following parts cant be nested"
Click on the file button on top and you can print out a simple list for cutting the left right stretchers on the saw.
