Printing From Line Drawing Editor

Post by Kerry Fullington »

I have had problems with eCabinets crashing while printing from the Line Drawing Editor all through Beta testing and the latest release of the software.
It sometimes lets me print several pages and sometimes it crashes every time I try to print. It crashes printing to our Dell printer and crashes printing to Cute PDF. It crashes using the print Icon, using file then print and using ctrl+p to print.
I have sent multiple crash reports during Beta but never heard back from anyone.

Any Ideas?

David,

Are you using Windows 10?

This is probably a print driver problem but I haven't found a fix yet.

The software crashes when I print from custom Layout also.

I've kinda given up trying to print from inside eCabs. I do a screen print then bring it into an image editor, crop it and save it. Nothing is lost during printing inside eCabs (dimensions, etc.) and no crashes.

I've experienced the same crash problems that Kerry has...
was told by somebody at Ecabs when I reported problem that I needed to down load new printer drivers
when that didn't work was suggested I down load new video drives,
nothing has changed ... still crashes just going from batch cabinet to line drawing
I am only able to print from a screen shot
I am using windows 10
if it ain't broke yet -- give me a few minutes

Kerry: I am using windows 10 Pro. 64 Bit. One suggestion I would have is next update, delete all thermwood files. They are a bit hard to find, I will also delete all your material etc. But that fixed some issues for me one time. On my system there is one in C:\programdata and C:\Program files (x86). BUT ANYBODY DOING THIS BEWARE YOU WILL LOOSE ALL THE DATA YOU HAVE ENTERED SINCE INSTALLING THE PROGRAM INITIALLY AND HAVE TO START OVER!! Unless you take the time to find the right files in there an paste them into the new install, but you maybe pasting your problem back in.
