Export to REAL Excel

Post by Jon Forsgren »

Is there a way to export the cut list to full version of Excel? I tried, but it won't happen. Since my door supplier has a 2 sq. ft. min. on doors/drawers fronts, I wanted to export and use a formula to get actual size and then add another foot if needed.

Thanks, Jon

There is a link at the top of the cutlist. (Export Cutlist To Excel) It open an excel file located at C:\Users\Public\Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\temp\cutlist.xls

Thanks for the come-back. That worked fine so far. Only problem now is that all dimensions are Text! Trying to do a formula, but have to go to each measurement and delete quotes. Anyway around this? Tried formatting cells, etc. No good.

Thanks, Jon

You can do a find and replace. Find " and replace it with nothing. Some people write excel macros to manipulate the data. Scott Marshburn is a good resource on working with the cut list and excel. I think he has some videos on youtube. You may search this forum and find some of his work.
