Cutlist - export to excel link not showing

Post by Jesse Ogburn »

Good morning all,

I just ran into this problem this morning when I was going to export my cutlist. The link at the top of the cutlist to export to excel doesn't seem to exist. I looked on this forum and tried all the suggestions that seemed to work for the others and it still doesn't show. Specifically, I tried running Ecabinets as administrator, restarting my computer, deleting the .xls file in the temp folder and a few things like checking the cutlist for individual cabinets etc. I'm up to date on my software as far as I know but the odd thing is that it worked fine yesterday but not today.

Any suggestions would be great, thanks!!

Seems to be windows update that messed this up. Thermwood is working on a temporary fix I guess. I've tried everything to roll back the update and/or use an older system restore point, but nothing has worked. This loss of functionality is super frustrating, but I think Microsoft is to blame for it. I am waiting with held breath for a solution from anyone.

This is a known issue that arose after a Microsoft Windows Update. It affects Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Thermwood is working on a permanent solution

There is a temporary fix (for Win7 & Win10 - not sure about Win8):

On Windows 7 uninstall KB4041681 and KB4041678.
On Windows 10 uninstall KB4041676."

You must UNINSTALL. Do NOT simply delete the updates.

I just came across this post from yesterday and it seems to have worked for me. Hopefully Thermwood can come up with a fix so that i can keep up to date with windows as well.

I've tried each of those uninstalls, except that all my updates start with 401 instead of 404. Even the restore point failed, so I'll have to wait on the software wizards. :!:
