Trouble Opening Cabinets

Post by Nat Wheatley »

I'm having issues trying to open cabinets that I've saved in the cabinet editor. I get a series of error messages starting with 'unable to open Ecabinets data file', then 'there was a problem reading HSF', then 'problem loading single cabinet' Sometimes when I rename the cabinet i's able to open it, other times restarting my computer has resolved it.

sorry but it sounds like you have some corrupt files - load your backup and see if they work better

Thanks Tim. I was syncing my 'cabinets' folder with Google Drive and am just now realizing that that may be causing the problem. I've turned the syncing off for that folder, tried saving and opening several cabinets, and so far the error message seems to have stopped. Fingers crossed...

We've been fighting some battles trying to get the User Data Path to play well with a cloud service. Most sync or lock files before eCabinets has a chance to finish doing what it needs to do.

Did you set the data path to the Google Drive location, or just syncing the cabinets folder only?
