I know this has been discussed before, but could I get a copy of the tooling used to create a louvered door? We have an outdoor grill that louvered doors would work perfect on. I have not made tools before, although I am sludging my way through it at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Justin Wallace

Re: Louvered Door Tooling
I did find the Youtube video that Scott Marshburn did on the louvered doors. I was able to created my louvered door on the front side of the material, but I can't seem to get it to mill the louvers on the back door. I was hoping to make the louvers open so that we could use that as ventilation.

Re: Louvered Door Tooling
Hey Justin,
To I created the sawtooth tool geometry in Auto Cad, (you can do it in eCabs if you want) similar to what Scott has in his video then I just profiled slots in the back to open it for ventilation. It still isn't a great louvered door because the louvers don't overlap. This would take a great deal of time to model so I am not sure it is cost effective and you would have to go through this whole process for every size door.
