Idea for the make phantom parts option

Post by Jesse Ogburn »

Good morning programmers!! I just had a brainwave that would save mouse clicks when designing cabinets and I think it would be very easy to implement.

- in the constructions settings dialog add a checkbox on the tab of each part that you check to make the part a phantom part.

So for instance, I add a top to my base cabinets to get the dadoes on the sides but I make it a phantom part and then we use scraps that we have laying about to make stringers for the sides that fit into the dadoes. If the check box existed then it would save me reopening a dialog to change the top to a phantom part.

Cheers! :D

I agree with you. It would also be great if the same thing could be added to the stretcher editor, as well as having the ability to add part names so that we could give the stretchers a meaningful name as they are added.
