Hello Folks,
Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!
I have a question regarding 2 different types of kitchen cabinet layouts:
1. Placing several small individual cabinets along a wall.
2. Placing one large cabinet, containing several sections/styles within.
We all know the pros/cons of each, however what term do you use to differentiate the two types when talking shop?

Hi Jody.
1. Placing several small individual cabinets along a wall. I would consider this a run of cabinets
2. Placing one large cabinet, containing several sections/styles within. I would consider this an assembly

Hey Jody,
1. Placing several small individual cabinets along a wall is generally called a run, like Scott said.
2. Placing one large cabinet is called a backache and is to be avoided at all costs.
But "assembly" works fine. You guys gave us that terminology, and it has stuck...

Re: Curious minds want to know....
Here, multiple cabinets are "Modular" and a single cabinet is "Custom" which always starts a debate.
