Pocket Screw Joinery

Post by Stuart Douglas »

I've used eCabS for some time, but just recently acquired a job that necessitates using strictly pocket screw joinery. If I load a typical cabinet from my seed library and globally change the joinery to pocket screw, it places the pocket screws for some components on the incorrect side of the part. No problem I think to myself, my material is two sided, I'll just change the A side in the right click menu. The dialog window loads, but I cannot change the material A side, the drop-down that is typically there, is not editable. Am I going about this the wrong way? Also, I have noticed there is a note in tooling setup window on the Control for this type of joinery only, is there a pitfall I should be wary of while setting that up as well? Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

In Construction Parameters for the part in question look at KD/RTA. Lock Dado, Pocket Screw Placement. Change Bottom to Top as needed to achieve desired placement.
