Adjustable Shelf Holes

Post by Chris B Campbell »

Hey All,
Never had this problem before when using 3/4" material. Today I built a .465 Baltic Birch box with same for adjustable shelfs. Shelf Holes are .1965" (5mm) at .375" deep. Should be no problem but trying to CNC at the router I am getting, Need to set up a tool for drilling .... ARGH! it is, it's tool #1.
So I tried a piece of 3/4" material with same hole, no problem at the router.
Best I can figure it's got something to do with material thickness, just cant figure out what?

Any help out there,
Thanks, Chris

Chris,

Make sure if you are using Groups in Control Nesting that the 5mm tool is set up in that Group. You may be expecting it in a specific Group, but it is actually in another without that tool. If you are on verision 6.12 or newer in Control Nesting, with that material nested, you should be able to go to Settings and it will tell you the Group that material is in at the bottom right. This will work if that nested material is displayed when you go to Settings. If all looks well, post an export from Control Nesting and I'll take a look at it.
