Drawer front adding slide holes?

Postby Ron Sloan » Fri, Aug 07 2020, 4:11PM

Hi all,

When adding a drawer front to a cabinet (no drawer box) eCabinets seem to add what might be drawer slide holes? It adds 5, 5mm holes to both the left and right ends. I don't see anywhere in the settings that this is enabled. Any insights?

Thanks and best regards,
Ron

Hi Ron. The cabinet that you posted has a default drawer slide and hole pattern associated to it. you can clear the default slide and hole pattern by selecting drawer slides from the right pop out menu. Here you can clear the default slide or hole pattern by clicking the drop-down arrow for the drawer slide or hole pattern and selecting clear default. If you save the cabinet to your library then the next time you use it the slides and/or hole patterns will not be used when adding the drawer fronts.
Hope this helps.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the fast reply! I had unchecked the add slides option in the construction parameters, before adding the drawer, but never tried the context menu. Since I was ordering the drawers anyway, I simply deleted it from the cabinet before cutting.

Now I know where to look!

Thanks again,
Ron
