Drawer resize

Postby JR Allen » Tue, Nov 24 2020, 6:35PM

I noticed after the new update, that my 4" pullout drawers behind doors won't resize to the Min Height increment setting of 4" defaults to 8", works on 6" drawer pullouts and changes fine. Any thoughts?

Hi JR
I am having problems adding drawers behind doors, so not existing but still curious.
I don't use this area much so it could be just me and there seems to be quite a few things I am doing wrong.
I am using a partition, it also says it can't find the material. I have part editor cuts which it asks to remove, and placement seems a bit haphazard but that could be just me.
All key strokes and error messages in the attached clips.

Please see attached videos.

If anyone has any learnings to pass on it would be appreciated.
Thanking you
Mark

Can you post the cabinet with the 4" boxes that you are having issues with?

Hi Clint, Thanks for the response. hopefully I posted this correctly. Could not do the 4" drawers because it it wouldn't change to 4" and only does 8"

Additional info: if I select for 3 drawers it will do 4" but not if I select for 2 drawers.

JR,

Far as I can tell it is working as expected.

In the case of 6" Min Height Increment, that tells eCabinets the drawer boxes can be 6", 12", 18", etc depending on the opening size. With a drawer box gap of 4", it cannot be 12" boxes as the opening is only 26.25" (12"+12"+4"+Bottom insets is more than 26.25"). That makes it so the boxes can only be 6"

In the case of 4" Min Height Increment, the boxes can be 4", 8", 12", etc depending on the opening size. So boxes of 8" can fit (8"+8"+4"+Bottom Insets is less than 26.25"). The next size of up 12" boxes won't fit so they are 8".

Do you have a cabinet saved with 4" boxes and an opening this large I can take a look at?

I tried again and no luck on my end, the only way I can add 2 - 4" drawers is to select for 3 drawer box quantity and deleting 1 drawer. The cabinet I posted is the one I have saved. Not sure why it works for you, there certainly is enough room for 2- 4" boxes but it will show 8" when I do 2 boxes when I have a 4" increment.

JR,

As far as I can tell it shouldn't be adding in two 4" boxes with your settings. There is room for two 8" boxes in that opening so it will make the boxes at 8". The only way to get only two boxes in at 4" is to do your method of adding three and deleting one, or change your drawer box to drawer box gap to something larger than 9.75".
