New version issue

Postby Donald Thomson » Fri, Nov 27 2020, 1:06PM

When I minimize eCabs to the desktop and try to bring it back up again, it won't restore. Yes, my video drivers are up to date according to manufacturers website.

Anyone else experiencing this? Appears to be working on my computer as expected on each monitor.

Clint,

We nor our clients up here in Canada have seen this "non-restoring after minimized" behavior. (At least they have not reported it to us - and believe me... they would have! )

It is consistent and happens 100% of the time. I run a 2-monitor system. The monitor the eCabs is running on is set to 1920x1080 resolution. I undock the window that has all the tabs for things like Cabinets, accessories, etc. This window runs on a monitor running at 1680x1050 resolution. Not sure if the different resolutions are causing the problem.

Okay - had not tried with the "FlyOut" menu/window UNDOCKED/DETACHED.

Okay - tried things on my three (3) monitor system. (All three monitors have different resolutions.) (** Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Op/Sys, NVIDIA QUADRO graphics)

Miximize, Minimuize and Restore performed with the two "windows" on every conceivable monitor combination. No issues found.

I am not saying that it does not happen to you, just providing "testing info" for the THM folks.

Here's what happens when I restore eCabs from a minimized state. As you can see, the eCabs window is shorter then the screen is tall. If I click the Restore Down button, then the maximize button, it will fill the screen. It's been happening since the last major upgrade of eCabs. Prior to that upgrade, it would minimize and restore like it's supposed to.

Brad, since it's working on your system it must be some setting I have on my machine that the previous version didn't care about but the new version does care about.

eCabs is the ONLY app on my system that doesn't minimize and restore properly. All other apps I use behave as expected.
