I need to nothch out for a wall in a counter that alreadt has a profile on the edge. Can I do this?
If not how can I remove the profile so that I can proceed with the cut?

Depending on how much work it was to get the part profiled, you CAN do certain 'cuts' by creating a tool the size and shape of the cut you need, then creating a path that the tool will follow to achieve that cut. It will depend on the orientation of your piece, and whether or not you can profile the edge that needs profiling.
