Failed to create empty document

Post by Denis L'Heureux »

This just happened. I didn't change anything to the folder. One day I was working on a kitchen and the next I couldn't access it. I have tried to do a \"repair\" but it didn't work.

Any idea? I have to get this kitchen out.

Make sure you have anti-virus turned off when running the repair option.

The error message is \"Failed to create an empty document\".

This occurs for many reasons: A required directory has been moved, deleted or renamed, the program was installed as Administrator and is executed as a User, permissions on the directory do not allow the current user to write, and others.

Justin and Dan

Tx for the replies. I have fixed it so to speak. Or at least I found the problem. The software was trying to phone home to find any requrired update but my ISP was down for a while. It couldn't phone home and was giving me that error. As soon as my connection was re-established, it worked again like a charm.

Cheers
