Batch Cabinet & Nesting question

Thought I would try to use batch cabinets instead of cutom layout like I usually do.
Everything seemed OK but then I noticed when I went to the sheet Layout (nesting) that in filters and on the layout I only had one of each cabinet even though I had 2 cabinets (assemblies) with a quantity of 2.
Is this normal because I can always change the name of 1 assy and add a second under diff. names.
I checked the cutting list with the quanity @ 2 and it showed right then went to nesting and only got one assy.
Just seems a little odd.
