Fixture for holding board stock

Post by Zach Froble »

At the IWF show I remember some type of fixture they were using to hold the board stock in place while running mouldings. Is this something that is available from Thermwood. I can't remember exactly what it look like or how it even worked, but I would be interested in some more info.

Thanks,

Zach

Hey Zack, they were cutting 5 pc doors if I am remembering right. They were just using some kind of staco clamps or similar, and I do beleive I remember some one from thermwood mentioning in another post that they were available, maybe some one will jump in monday.

There is an article on the five piece door system in the latest member magazine that shows the hold down fixture.

Michael and Kerry,

I fixture I am referring to was holding the board stock that they were cutting the mouldings for the Credenza. It held 8' long board stock that they carved the mouldings from. I am familiar with the fixture for the five piece doors, but the one I remember was similar to the rotary play back device but longer.

zack,
I must have missed that, you might try e-mailing Jody Wilmes directly, he would be the one actually using it..I have the rotary playback , dont think they make it in any thing longer? Definetly have been wrong before though!
