new install and crash

Post by Rick Fulgham »

HELP!

I'm going crazy. I just got a new computer to try to make eCabinets run faster. I copied all of the files onto the new hard drive and it wouldn't run. So I reinstalled the software from the V5 CD, then ran the 5.1 build 2 update. The program runs and will open one of my batch cabinet files but when I try to open my bigger (18mb) kitchen file it will read anywhere from 16% - 48%, the little window will disappear, and then the Microsoft window will appear - Sorry your program crashed!

There were a number of other installation problems along the way but this is where I am now. What can I do to save this file? Unfortunately I \"moved\" it from the other hard drive so there is no copy left.

Thanks, Rick Fulgham

You said in a previous post that you copied the files onto your new comp.

Did you copy and paste the files with windows explorer, or use the backup utility? Some files can't be transfered without error.
