Michael,
Use System restore to turn your computer back to a point before you installed the update.

Kerry,

Unfortunately I already ran the update again. It didn't help.

I am going to bring in my old standard files diredtory and see if it is in the standard files. It seems it is with the standard cabinets. I haven't tried all my cabinet files. Tho they be many :?

I reinstalled the B2 update and I'm back running again.

I'm not a pilot but I would call that a near miss if ever I saw one...

I used the bug report from the syatem to report this. Hopefully it will get resolved quickly. Nothing can be done if you have not built your libraries. At least on this computer...

What did you do to get this error? Is it a certain cabinet or assembly you are loading? More info, please.

Justin,

The steps I took:

First started computer
went online downloaded B3
installed B3
started e_cabinets. checked version closed dialog
opened cabinet editor
loaded all the standard cabinets
changed each cabinet global material. 23/32\" material, butt joint
changed backs to 1/4\" material and bottom inset to 3 1/2\"
changed door and drawer settings for 1/8\" reveal
selected door applied as default
selected drawer applied as default this is when I got the \"error copying body\" I had to click about 10 times to get out of that. clicked the set to default button.
closed the dialog saved the cabinet
closed e_cabinets
copied my OLD standard directory into the cabinets file (version)
opened e_cabinet
opened cabinet editor
loaded all standard cabinets again.
repeated 7-11, again got the \"error copying body\" again, I had to click about 10 times to get out of that.
clicked the close button.
saved the cabinet
closed ecabinets
reinstalled B2.
The problem I'm sure was from the OLD standards directory. But the other problem with \"error copying body\" won't let me continue with building a new directory.

Unrelated issue;

I have some cabinets that take forever to load and save. I created a room that was loaded with these cabinets and then I deleated everything from the room and saved the walls only, I then sent that room to you guys. That file was over 3 meg! Someone from your staff (can't remember who) told me there was carvings in the room?

I don't use carvings, much less can I explain how they are imbedded in my files. can I send these files for someone to take a look at. And is there a majic button you guys can make to globaly remove all carvings such as the \"remove all part editor cuts from entire cabinet\" currently in the menu?

I have some pretty nice catalogs of good looking cabinets, and they are corrupt with something. And I would love to be able to use them. If I can click the majic button maybe I can continue...

Thanks for your time.

Rick and Justin,

I may have narrowed down the culprit. I reinstalled B3 and again went to the cabinet editor. I selected from the standard conastoga door and drawer fronts and remade my alternate and inhouse doors and drawer fronts. As a result I was able to create a new cabinet.

regarding the \"version error\" I also think I may have saved a door or drawer front from B3, went back to B2 and tried to develope my cabinets. I do remember it happened as I came from the door editor back to the main cabinet editor.

Hope this helps...

Can you send the old door files that gave the error? Is it a mdf door? It would be nice to take a look at them.

Anything saved in Build 3 can not be opened in earlier versions of ecabinets.

I was the one that talked with you earlier about the slow to load jobs. If you open that job in build 3, the do a saveas and save the job as a new name, it should fix your problem for the jobs. Same thing should be true with your cabinets.

I did remake my doors as I said and have no major problems here at the shop. Again I think the \"version error was a result from me saving a door and using it with the B2.

Here is a door and drawer front.

Thanks

I also need to report the same problem is occuring with faceframe part editor cuts resulting in an upside down orientation after a material change.

I realize saving the file will save it as B3, but the files still have something in them. But I deleted everything.

I dont think you quite getting what I am saying. I am talking about this post you made.
http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5567

Now, if you load your files, and save them not only does it save it in B3, but now there is a check for these certain files and fixes it on the fly for you. (The Magic you were talking about) You just need to resave your files. I did that to your kitchen in the post above and seen a great improvement on load time. Now if you have something different, then send me the file so I can see whats going.

Also, the door files you posted have bug in them. It has to be from a bug in an old version. It is a conestoga door file saved with mdf drawer bodies.
