error message creating nest diagrams

Post by KyleHepp »

When trying to generate a nest image, I am consistently getting error messages.

X DATABASE ALREADY EXISTS is the one that ALWAYS occurs,

X UNRECOGNIZED DATABASE FORMAT prgrm files/thrmwood/ecab/conestogaz/thermtemp is the other that either precedes, supercedes, but doesn't always occur.

Bottom line is: I can't generate a nest diagram, so I can't tell how my parts are being cut.

Therefore I can't edit my designs for MAXIMUM YIELD, which means I
can't recover as easily from this last week of sitting on my behind, at this computer

-that's WAY to many \"cant's\" !!!

I sent a few ESJ files to Forrest Chapman today, and he was able to open up and generate nest diagrams. While he is forwarding this dilemna over to Thermwood for investigation, I was wondering if any others have experienced anything like this? I have very limited computer knowledge (as Mike Yeargain can attest to, among others) and I suspect that this might have something to do with my settings???

actually, the second error message I described ends with a .twt

It's c drive-program files/thermwood/ecabinets/doors/conestogaz/thermtemp.twt

I don't even HAVE any doors selected, and the nest generating area does the same thing even if I take something as simple as a standard detached toekick into there from the design editor.

I am getting these messages too, although, I may be adding another one. The other one I'm getting is the same thing except it ends in \"c:/...../zigaba.twt\" It is doing this almost every time I shut the program down also. I just noticed that after I get this error message when I attempted to nest this cabinet and I then attempt to open up the cabinet editor via the cabinet editor button, it gives me the \"Unrecognized database format 'c:\\program files\\thermwood\\ecabinet systems\\DOORS\\Conestogaz\\zigaba.twt\" again. Maybe I need to reinstall V3 again??

Also, to add insult to injury, my system keeps crashing when I try to add a particular section of countertop in one of the jobs. I did the same thing on one side of the room and it works fine, install the countertop on the other side (where I need it most) and upon trying to save, crrrrash!

Kyle,

I had a job last week that was crashing as I saved with one countertop. Other tops in the same room were O.K.. It sounds like the same thing.

Were the nesting errors resolved? How? I'm having the same errors.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I searched the forum and found this thread. Read the thread and follow the instructions. This should fix the problem.

Hey Mark,
Got a Buddy who lives in Belle River, right on lake St.Clair. We spend 4 or 5 weekends a yr up there and then he comes down and hunts with us.
Usualy the traffic is not to bad, although getting through customs at the bridge can be a bear. Thanks for the heads up.

ah yes, the border traffic... Don't forget your multiple pieces of photo ID, or your passport, 'cause without it with the new regulations, they might not let you back in. Can't imagine all the problems that is causing at the border crossings

Yes it has changed, been going many yrs.,used to just basically drive through and show your drivers liscence, not any more. We went to Northern Ontario Moose hunting(RED LAKE) last fall, and even with all the proper paperwork it was still a hassle.. I think part of the problem is that none of the american guys I go with happen to drink or smoke, when you tell them no cigarretes or booze, they immediantly go on HIGH ALERT!!NOw my Canadian buds we meet up with, thats another story!
