can't load drawers

Post by Mark Hesketh »

for some reason i can't add the drawers that i have created into my cabinets. when i go into the drawer box editor, and then go to drawer box selection, i try to open my drawer boxes but get an error message that it is not a proper .hsf file... and it won't let me select it.
what?
any ideas?

Sounds like the drawer box file is corrupt. Can you post one that gives you the error message? Can you still load the standard drawer box file?

here are a couple of the drawer boxes that are coming up with this error. one is a dovetail box, the other is a cabinet i converted into a drawer box since i needed to make some part editor cuts in it (i can understand why the second one might not work, but the first one should). i can still load the original standard boxes alright

Both these files are cabinet files, not actual drawer box files. They load just fine in the cabinet editor as cabinets. You can only load drawer box files in the drawer box desinger that are saved off from the drawer box designer. I understand what you are trying to do, work \"outside the box\" so to speak. In this case, it just wont work.

the dovetail box isn't a cabinet though... i am sure i made it in the drawer box editor... not sure how i would even put that together as a cabinet... ? and it's description comes up as a drawer box.

i figured with the other one it would be because i had made it as a cabinet, but the dovetail one should work...

btw, great job on the super speedy responses

I looked a little more closely at the first file. It could have been saved off in the drawer box desinger, however if it was it is now a corrupt file. It has its geometry, but it is missing key hoops segments with your drawer box data. I would delete the file and remake it from the standard drawer box.
