Problem in Cabinet Editor

Post by Gene Kimmi »

I have found a couple of weird things here.

First, I chose one of my seed cabinets, resized it, and set it in a room in custom layout. Then I took that cabinet to the cabinet editor to change a few things. In the cabinet editor, I first deleted the doors, returned to main area, and the top and bottom of the cabinet were gone. The cabinet was also very small. When I moused over the left side, the popup box showed the dimensions of the left side as -19999800\" wide and long.

Here are some pictures of what I am seeing.

I have just tried to edit 3 different cabinets from this same room, and all of them do the same thing. Also noticed that the cabinet back is gone too.
The cabinet doesn't shrink in size until I change to a different view.

I worked on this job yesterday editing cabinets with no problems.

Well, I shut the program down and restarted it and everything worked fine. I could not recreate this again. Below are some pictures of the cabinet in the shelf and partition editor before I restarted the program.

Gene,

I came back from the shop a little while ago and saw your post. I tried to reproduce the problems you are having, but cannot do it with Build 4.

Questions:

1. Did you install Build 4 yet? For some reason it seems to me like you have already done this.

2. Have you installed any new programs or utilities on your machine since yesterday? Has anything changed related to hardware? I am curious, as a recent lightning storm here caused 5 power outages within about 90 seconds, and wiped out the A/C compressor for the downstairs - I had shut down and unplugged all our computers just before the storm hit us.

3. Have you run any diagnostics on your system?

Al,

I have installed Build 4. I haven't installed anything new or changed anything on the computer.

The funny thing with this to me is I could reproduce this with every upper cabinet in this job. I didn't try any base cabinets. Once I closed out of E-cabinets and opened it back up, I could not reproduce this. Everything worked as it should.
