An Old Problem is Back
Open the attached job,
Take the upper wall with cabinet so elevation view in detail room
Double click the upper cabinet to highlight it
The right position box will show 100 11/32
Type 100\" in the right position box
The cabinet goes back to 100 11/32
I am having trouble using the position boxes for uppers in several jobs.
I created this little room just to show the problem.

Kerry, I have had this problem all along, I even posted it a while back. It is rather annoying.

Sometimes I can put a negative sign (-) in front of the number and hit return and it will straighten out.
This happens almost all the time for me on an angular wall.

I get these problems all the time on straight walls. It will either not move or move to some random number. Say you type in 65\", it might go to 36.656\". No matter what you type it always seems to go to this dimension. I have given up on it and now use the move function to get to where I need the cabinet. It is slower and needs a calculator sometimes, but it works right.

Kerry,
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but when I download the DOWNLOAD, all I get is a page showing the sheet stock selection. So I went to a mock room and placed an upper cabinet on the wall. Dbl clicked the wall to take it to elevation mode. I then dbl clicked the cab to turn it green. I can position it up, dn, left, right. And the number stay where I selected. Did I do something different than you?
Thanks,
Damon

I had a similar problem the other day in the profile manager. I was designing a tool for bead board paneling and the center bead would not center up. I finally had to design the tool in another cad program as a dxf and import it to the PM and it worked fine. This problem seems to be scattered through-out the software. Hope it can be fixed soon.

This seems to be a problem with my cabinets.
I tried with a standard cabinet and everything works OK.
I can also take the upper cabinet in the room above to the cabinet editor, go to construction settings then exit to re-generate the cabinet and save changes to the room and everything works as it should.
The eCab guys still might want to look at this so we don't have to re-generate 500 cabinets every time there is a new build.

I think therein could be the problem. It does seem like so many problems are from build to build.Kerry Fullington wrote:

And yea. I'm rebuilding as we speak, my entire library...

I'm also experiencing the same thing but not consistently on every job. Of the last 3 jobs that I've designed this week, all had right angle walls. But the last job showed this problem and the other two didn't. I'm not able to determine anything different. I'm using the same library and same procedure. The only discernable difference was that the last job had 120\" tall walls and the other two had 96\" tall walls.
