Ecabinets 5.2

Post by Neville Bastian »

I was wondering if 5.2 had finished its beta testing yet? Is there a approx release date? Is there a list of features to be included?
I'm in the early stages of learning Ecabinets and I believe there have been a few changes that have been designed to tidy up the front end. I have other staff that need training as well which will be done by myself. I'd rather have them on 5.2.
Maybe Thermwood needs a ticking clock on there forum site. 100 hrs to release hr. A you tube demo done by programming staff showing the new features could be a nice touch?

Regards

Neville,
I was under the impression that 5.2 is currently being beta tested. But I am not sure. I would think a release of sometime next year. But then again, I have no idea. I would think the basic fuctionality of the software would not change very much, if at all. So, using 5.1 will not hurt your employees. Any experience using the software would benefit them.

Hi Neville,

V5.2 is not in Beta. We are looking at Christmas time for the beta unless the programmers run into any difficulties along the way. Then of course the final release won't be until after the first of the year. Hope this helps.

Thanks Todd & Jason,
Looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer. Wild Doug had given me a different impression of time scale for 5.2
I'll continue with my self paced training of Ecabinets and hopefully the penny will drop soon. I have booked myself into some training classes so that will make the difference I'm sure.
In some ways I wish I could toggle on the same menu wording as my current planit program till I get used to it then turn it off.

Thanks for the reply
Regards

Hi Thom,
One is in Perth Western Australia which Terry is doing in the next few weeks. Just waiting for dates to be finalised and there is one in Sydney either just before Christmas or late January.
I have bought a CS 45 so trying to be up with it before it arrives.

Have you done any formal training? If you did how did you find it.

Regards

Neville

That's like coast-to-coast in the U.S.

Much too long of a drive for me. Of course, you wouldn't have to fight the same traffic as we would in a coast-to-coast drive here. :(
