How good is this forum?

Post by DanEpps »

We all know (and agree) how good this forum is, but just how good is it?

Of 37418 total posts, only 661 have been unanswered. When you subtract 68 unanswered posts from the beta tester's forum (available only to beta testers), that leaves 593. Subtract 550 total posts in the beta forum and that leaves 36868 total posts.

Many of those are announcements, stickies, customer images and customer 3D files.

Percentage-wise, 98.4% of posts have been answered. The percentage is the same when answered & unanswered beta posts are included.

That is most likely one of, if not THE, highest post/answer percentages of any forum on the web!!!

I don't what the average time for the first answer to new threads is, but I know is also ranks up there among the fastest (maybe Dean can provide that number?).

Keep up the good work everyone.

Thermwood: maybe these stats should be proudly highlighted in the next Member Magazine and on the Thermwood main website.

Vacation day? He didn't put his request on the forum for approval.

For those who are wondering just why I came up with these statistics, I was on a computer forum earlier that proudly boasted that over 85% of questions posted in their forum received answers. Of thos answers, the average time for the first answer was an astounding 2 days!

After seeing how proud they were for numbers like that I said \"I KNOW this forum is better than that\" and did some quick math to prove it.

Everyone here, forum members and Thermwood alike, should be proud of the number and speed of answers in our forums.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for the numbers. That is quite impressive. I will see if Dean can get those times per post answered once he gets back from vacation.

thanks,

I knew someone would say that, so I added the "...for those who are wondering..." disclaimer.

What can I say? This is the slow period for me.

OK Dan,

Dean came up with these numbers:

98% of the posts are responded to within five hours
90% of the posts are responded to in about two and a half hours

this forum is awesome, being new to Ecabinets, I spend a lot of time on here reading the posts and have learned a lot, and it has prevented me from calling for support many times. I had a question about inset door beads, and within an hour someone not only answered me, but supplied step by step instructions on how to do it. All I can say is I would hate to be the competitors of Ecabinets!!!!!!
