Question about Forum??

Post by Damon Nabors »

Is this problem related to my computer or the Forum?

If I search a topic to find some information and want to continue searching to another topic, I will hit the "Back" button and it will not back up. Am I overlooking something here or is there a problem. It is frustrating to have to re-search and scroll back to the where I left off.

Here is what happens when I hit the "Back" button.

Thanks,

Damon

Damon,

I've had this happen before, but inconsistently. I usually open the resulting posts in a new tab or window to avoid it.

Mike, the only time it happens to me is if I am Searching for an old post. But it will happen every time. I search, then read the post, click "back" to go back to the search screen and I get that message.

Do you have your browser set to allow cookies? A message like that is often because the site requires a login and it sees you as being not logged in.

I have never had that happen in the forums.

Dan, at this time, I am not sure. I upgraded to a new version of Int. Explorer and some strange things started to happen. I guess I need to check and see. I did manage to get it to work ok late last night. It seems like the circuits are busy during the day and clogs up the internet, so therefore I get this message. Last night around 11:30/12:00 it worked ok. :|
You got to love computers :?

The strange thing is, it only happens when using the Search function.

Thanks for the info,

Damon

hi Damon,
ye i get this problem aswell, not only does it just happen in the search function it happens accross the entire site. It does really get to me, what i do is right click link and open in new window. This doesn't work everytime, sometimes i could open about six new pages lol, but it saves time going back all the time as this allways causes an error.

Are both of you (Leigh and Damon) able to use the "Remember me" function so you don't have to login each time you visit the forum? If so, it is not a cookie issue.
