OT - AIDS

Post by Paul Ellis »

I was at the doctor today and he told me that all those years of phone sex caught up with me...Now I have AIDS - hearing aids that is!

It is SOOOOO good to hear people again....and the good thing is if I don't want to listen to them I just take it out!!!

You crazy Kiwi :joker:

You should have known to use protection (ear protection that is  ).

I know how you feel though. I had cataract surgery a couple of years ago. When the doc uncovered my first eye all I could do was open and close it, going "Wow!" It was unbelievable how colorful the world was with my "new" eye and how gray with the old one. Had the other one done a week later and balanced things out.

I was really trying to start a war in the southern hemisphere... Guess it didn't work, eh?

At first I was thinking (still of Paul Ford) the hearing loss it was probably the result of the new baby. Who knows, maybe she is loud enough that Paul Ellis can hear her in S.A. :joker:

Speaking of hearing, I have three dogs--a Jack Russel Terrorist and two Pomeranians. One of the Poms loves to hear the sound of her own barking so I bought an ultrasonic bark inhibitor.

As soon as I plugged it in my son grabbed his ears and yelled "turn it off!" He could actually hear it! Now it gets even better...the two female dogs (the Jack and one Pom) could hear it and it drove them nuts. It indeed has stopped the barker and everything is quiet now. Get this though, the male Pom just looks at it with a "what's that" look on his face. It doesn't bother him at all. He can hear it, he just ins't bothered by it.

Nic,
Thanks for stepping in .... but I just let it slide...I know that these Americans can't read a map. Christopher Columbus thought he was in India when he 'discovered' America! (Now this is what I call stirring it up - If this doesn't start something then nothing will!!!)

Yeah, but Columbus was an Italian working for the queen of Spain when he "found" America...the native Americans didn't even know they were lost!

Lost? Who ever gets lost?
To quote a character from one of Terry Pratchet's books...
(This is not an exact quote but the idea is there)
"I am never lost. I always know where I am...it's the rest of the world that doesn't know where I am!"
