The boys in the shop recently pointed out that when we add a partition to our base cabinets the back top stretcher does not have the dado cut in it for the partition. The dado shows and cuts in the front stretcher, but not in the back.
Could you please take a look at the attached cabinet....
Thanks
Mark

Re: missing dado
Mark, that is a common problem. It doesn't show up on my cabinets either.

I will look at your file and see what is going on. I will get back with you in a little while.

What is happening here is, when the top is set to top stretcher the construction method for the partition can not be split between the two seperate parts. Now you can take the back stretcher to the part editor and cut the grove out, this will give you what you are wanting. I hope this will help you.

Re: missing dado
thanks for the quick response Justin...
personally...I would call that one a bug
It doesn't make sense to have a settings dialog box and only apply the settings to one portion of what the dialog box is setup for. I'm not aware of anybody using the stretcher setting and only needing the front stretcher. Sure I understand I can go to the parts editor and create the dado...but that's time comsuming and sort of defeats the purpose of having the settings dialog box in the first place.
thanks for you help though!
