I ask the questions because I know very little about Mac. I have had PCs exclusively. I only stayed away from the Mac because of all the software that it doesn't run. I would like to get a Mac. But Without clarity on my part it's out of the question.

So apearantly you have an OEM version of XP. Can I assume Bootcamp is another program that will allow other programs to run on Mac?

Michael,

Bootcamp is a Mac OS X startup program that allows you to choose if you want to load Mac OS or Microsoft XP or Vista. If you choose XP or Vista, whichever you have loaded, then you have a bonafide PC machine, no different than the one you have now.

Hey Ron,

That rocks!

I have always had a fancy for Mac. I have never even really known why. Maybe it's because ~~ when you know you know; you know. You know?

I will learn first, and avoid damage from the experiances of others, if at all possible.

I will look forward to any updates you offer during your experiance and enjoyment with e_cabinets Systems on your Mac.

Thanks

If you're using Boot Camp, make sure you update to Boot Camp 2.1 very soon because it addresses issues with the forth-coming Windows XP Service Pack 3. In fact, Apple states you should update Boot Camp before updating Windows XP.
