Hi Guys
I am trying to bring in a DFX File which I can do, but when bringing it in the shape manager there isnt a way to rotate the part, so is there a way of doing this? Also when I take the DFX file into the line drawing editor I can then rotate but I cant then save the file again so I can use the rotated version within the shape manager, so again is there a way around this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: DFX import
You can rotate geometry (DXF in this case) using the Mirror icon on the menu bar in Contour Mode of the Part Editor.

Hi Dan how you doin,
The problem Im having though is I want to rotate 90° and using the mirror will only flip the image. Is there another way of doing it?

Ahhhh...gotcha.
Since you cannot rotate parts in the Part Editor, you will have to reorient the DXF in and external CAD program.

Re: DFX import
Gentlemen,
There is actually a very simple way to rotate any geometry 90 degrees (or others too) in eCabinet Systems by using the mirror functionality. (View my attached jpg and it will make sense) But the short of it is:
1.) Make a line that is 45 degrees some where (near the geometry, in the middle of it or even a 45 line that is within it already, does not matter)
2.) Select the geometry you want to rotate (the chain select method is handy for this)
3.) Select mirror, chose the line mirror option, select the 45 line and you have your 90 degree rotate.
Hope this helps.

Re: DFX import
Well shiver me timbers...I knew it could be done but I just didn't have enough coffee coursing through the veins yet.
It sure would be nice to have a rotate option to go along with mirroring, moving, copying and offseting.
