corner cabinets and applied ends

Post by bob magnuson »

I know that it is impossible to add applied ends to corner cabinets but I am wondering if anyone has the magic formula to figure out how to size the cabinet so that the parts are sized correctly to take into consideration the applied end. Hopefully that made sense.

here is an example...

Right now the cabinet is square but if I attach an applied end to the right side (as viewed from above), it is no longer square. if I resize the cabinet 3/4" smaller to take into consideration the thickness of the applied end, the cabinet will be square when finished but I believe the size of the parts eCabs calculate will not be correct, specifically the side, back, top and bottom parts will be incorrect. And the face frame part dimensions will be incorrect as well.

If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

Thanks,

Bob,

I had to use insets and replace the end with a display panel with part editor cuts.
