DWG or DXF

Post by Gary Puckett »

I'm confused

To be changed to a STL in Accutrans 3D does the file have to be a DWG or DXF ?

Because I think Enkeboll offers both, which one is the right one to get

Thanks Gary

It looks like AccuTrans wants a .dxf file.

Gary,

The problem is that the .dxf drawings from the Enkeboll website are just 2D. You will have to download the 3D.dwg files and convert them.

So will Accutrans 3D do this or do I need something else.

Gary,

HERE is a link to download a free version of Intellicad that they offered in 2000. I kept a copy of the .exe after I upgraded to the full version.
You can use it to open .dwg files and then use Save As to save the files as ASCII .dxf files. Open the .dxf file in Accutrans and convert it to .stl then open the .stl in the eCabinets Display Parts Editor.
