I was having the same thing, but somewhere along the line it seemed to have quit doing it. (knock on wood)

I have had a problem with 5.2 and 5.1 crashing. I found that it seemed to be related to my computer running 2
monitors. When I do not have the desk top settings set to extend my computer to the second monitor,
it seems more stable. When I have the second monitor, it crashes quite a bit.

Even if I turn off the second monitor and un plug it, it would crash. I had to go to the video settings and
turn off the extend to monitor 2 option for the crashing to stop. This might be a related issue for you as well.
