I believe that's a known issue Chad. If you use two monitors then just drag it away, if not then move it as far away from the cab as you can before clicking save. Anyone else?

I have this issue as well.
If I need a jpg that is clean I will capture the screen using infraview feature then I will crop the image using my hp scanning software & resave.

Chad, Rick and Rob:

What are your system specs, specifically RAM, CPU, video card, video RAM and operating system (including service packs if any)?

I am using a Dell Precision Workstation 380 with a Pentium D 3.4GGHz CPU, 2GB RAM, nVidia Qyadro FX540 with 128MB RAM. My operating system is XP Pro version 2002 with service pack 3.

I'm curious as to whether any of these have any effect on making the snapshot dialog box appear in the image. Like I said, I have never had this issue and that is on mutiple systems. I don't have the issue on my Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop running Vista Home Premium either.

I would also like to get to the bottom of this, I had no problems for the first couple years but now I do get it, I beleive it happened during one of the updates, dont beleive I changed anything on my computer system during the time it started appearing, but, obviously I might be wrong... :( :(

Dan, I was looking to see what graphics card I have and it is a ATI Mobility Radeon x1400, Not knowing too much about specifications and stuff, how does it compare with the nVIDIA cards? I have not been having any problems so to speak, but my computer is going on 3 years now and I was considering getting another.

I think this problem is caused by the video card, namely a card near the lower end of the req'd specs. The screen doesn't refresh as fast, therefore doesn't clear the dialog box from the screen before the snapshot is taken. Just my guess...

Try reducing the screen resolution and see if that changes it any.

I'm not sure whether it is the video card or not. My current system is definitely toward the low end of video requirements and my previous system didn't even come close--it had an ATI Radeon X300 with 128MB. My laptop has an ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 with 256MB.

None of those are really in the range of the eCabinets specs and have never had this issue. Maybe it just because I'm such a genius... :joker: Don't worry about me...I'll talk more sense after I've had more coffee.

That's interesting, I just set my res. one spot lower and the Jpegs work ok now. Unfortunately I can't live my life in that resolution. It's killing me Spock killing me!!!!!!!!

Could this problem perhaps have something to do with the combination of resolution/refresh rate (Hz) of the video card? And perhaps if you have interlacing activated or not?
Have a look at this http://www.pcguide.com/ref/video/modesRefresh-c.html
Perhaps a bit technical, but I think worth looking into. I shall try different settings and see if I get any jpegs with the size dialog box included.
(I have an ATI Radeon 9550 with 256mb display card)
