part editor ?
i'm trying to make a wine rack. the question is that i need to place 2 display panels, or a stretcher in. i also need to take it in part editor and cut out wine holes to place the wine in. i can take a display panel in part editor, but i need full dados on all four sides. a stetcher would be great but i can't take that in part editor. any suggestions with my rambling? thanks darren
Re: part editor ?
Darren,
If you could give me an idea or picture of what you are trying to acheive, I may be able to help you out. You can post it here or send it to program@thermwood.com.
Also, attach the dimensions of the rack.

todd, here is the hsf. right know i have a display panel in there. what i need is a full dado all around, and be able to take it into part editor. i guess what i want is the best of both worlds. i would like to use a stretcher, but i can't take that into part editor. thanks darren

Re: part editor ?
todd, to give you an idea what we are doing. here is another picture. we took 2 cabinets. 1 we did full dados through part editor on all 4 sides. the 2nd cabinet we made the right sizefrom the back and gave it a inset toward the front. the 3rd cabinet we did the same as the 2nd cabinet. this was a little long to do. i hope you have a faster and easier way to do this. thanks darren

Re: part editor ?
Hi Darren
Try this one it can be resized
I used just 1 display part and that is the top.
When you look at the front it is the bottom of the cabinet in the program.
Let me know if this helps

Re: part editor ?
Thanks George! I kind of got swamped here, but thanks for adding the file.
Darren,
George's example looks like the best way to make it resizable.

Re: part editor ?
hey guys- thank you so much for the inputs. but i tried something a little different. width 14.5", depth 23", made the front a strecher, lost the right side, and gave it 2 partions. also i got all my settings right, full dados right, and was able to go into part editor and load the dxf's for the hole cut outs. i could of used 1 partion and left the right side on, but this worked. thanks guys for the help darren
