saving to an external hard drive

Postby John Larson » Fri, Nov 14 2008, 6:00PM

I am beginning to review my books from attending the training in April and need to know if I can simply save my jobs to an external hard drive. Any suggestions? John

I move a lot of my old files to external drives.

When the Save As window comes up go to the Save in drop dowm menu and all your drives will be there.

Jobs--yes, cabinets--no. You can save jobs anywhere in the system but cabinets and assemblies have to be in the same location as installed by eCabinets.

I do exactly that - applications stay on my C drive of my system and alll data files stay on 1 of 2 external hard drives - no problem yet.
