Changing of the Guard

Post by Ken Susnjara »

We will have a Thermwood Christmas party today and at that party, three long time employees will be retiring. Ed Haefling was actually Thermwood’s very first employee, starting almost forty years ago. Anyone who has bought a machine may have worked with Ruth Schwinghamer who prepared all the quotes, handled literature, customer inquiries and order processing. Cliff Crawford, our Vice-President of Marketing is also retiring. ALl worked over thirty years for Thermwood. We sincerely thank them for their many years of service and wish them the very best going forward.

A new structure and new people are taking their place. Jason Susnjara has been named Vice-President of Marketing and he has gathered a highly talented team to work with him. The eCabinet Systems program including the software programmers have been made part of the new marketing group. Duane Marrett has joined the group bringing his web, video and marketing experience. Jody Wilmes is also part of this new group, focusing on eCabinet Systems and its Members. James Newman, another marketing member has been managing Thermwood’s trade shows and Jennifer O’Brien is Thermwood’s graphic artist. Thermwood’s Technical Service Division also participates in eCabinet Systems by providing formal training classes, regional seminars and daily phone support. Currently Justin Melhiser is in charge of this phone support.

This new group is very creative and very talented and has some new and exciting ideas. They are very web and technology savvy and are well tuned into eCabinet Systems Members. We are excited about the possibilities for eCabinet Systems and expect a new focus on the program, it’s Members and the underlying technology.
