I am trying to change .dxf file into .twd. However, when i load the geometry into PE, and i try to creat a part or dado the error message pops up saying that the contour is not closed. I am sure that contour is closed because all the objects are drawn as rectanfles in AutoCad. I've included the file with the post, so if anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

Re: .dxf to .twd
Try exploding the rectangle, then export as a dxf. If I recall correctly, AutoCad treats the rectangle as one entity rather than the four line entities.

Are you working in metric? What do these different parts create?

I see the dados on the out side edge of these parts will not close a contour. This is due to the lines are overlaping each other.

Re: .dxf to .twd
Justin,
i am not working in metric! These part creat a wall, thay all go together and dados are made for aluminum T-mold which is 1/8" thick and than in between go laminate panels.
I see what you are saying. Is there a way around it? I wanted to do this in eCabs because .dxf files will not cut the dados all the way through.

If you offset the overlaping lines by .001" you then can apply a depth to each contour in part editor. If you need more help with these please give me a call and I can help you make the corrections on one of your parts.

Thanks Justin, I got it. I am able to apply the depth just fine.
Thank You for all your help!
