Re: Drawer Assembly Techniques
Hey Jerry Thanks that's what I was looking for. Extending the bottom under the front and back makes it stronger yet . What do you do with the edges finish or edgeband? What has been your experience with dove tail drawers?

Re: Drawer Assembly Techniques
Jerry,
On your prefinished ply. Are you just running it through an edgebander and then assemble?

Re: Drawer Assembly Techniques
Will & Damon, I do it both ways. my standard drawer is raw on the top, sanded with a 1/8" round over on both top edges. That is partially why I use a high quality nine ply apple plywood because there are very few voids and the nine ply looks good. Also, it is very consistent in thickness and lays flat on the router. Much nicer than some of the imports but also more expensive (about $120.00 per sheet). If my customer wants the drawer to look more like solid wood I use a prefinished maple edge banding on the top.
The cool thing about this construction is it is very strong and very fast to assemble.
