Why so long

Post by Gary Puckett »

Ok why does it take the new web site forever to come up :? Then when it does come up it moves slow and sometimes locks up.

I think that there are so many folks downloading the libraries that the servers must be bogged down.

Our new announcement must have hit a nerve. We maxed out, which has not happened before and then sustained at that level for hours. We are looking at ways to address this and, I expect over time demand will go back to a more normal level. Sorry for the problems. We had most folks here at Thermwood get off the system and stopped any downloads or videos but it stall stayed pegged.

We have started moving the library downloads to Akamai servers. Akamai has some 42,000 servers in 70 countries and we will be using them to download our libraries to you. This should open up the rest of our site and hopefully things will speed up a little. It will take several hours to get the first group moved and probably a day or more to get everything moved. The traffic is slowing our download to Akamai also but by the end of the day things should start to get better.
