I am trying to create an arched cutout to a L/R stretcher but the Part Editor says that this part type is not supported .....Any suggestions.

Thanks

Make the stretcher out of a display panel

Wait for v6, or use a display panel instead of a stretcher. (Note: display panel will not resize when the cabinet resizes).

Thanks for the quick response,

I will have to use it with the stretcher and blind dado's so that it resizes with the cabinet, then re-machine the arch after.

What is planned for V6 and when will it be released ? No pressure.

Thanks

Post your cabinet Paul, maybe there is something else that can be done.

Rick,

Here is the cabinet, the L/R section will have doors the center section is open with an arched rail.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Paul,

As was mentioned before, your best bet is to use a display panel or display cube and take it to the part editor.

Good Luck!

Paul

I used a sheet stock face frame and removed everything but the top rail with some insets. I also used negative insets on the left and right sides as well as the deck and toe kick.

The arch has constraints so you can re-size.

I forgot to do your top like you have it.

I couldn't open your job file, it is only 12 KB

The only thing the face frame solution does not allow is the blind dados. keep this in mind.

Hi George,

What part did you create it from ?
Did you use the contour editor to create the shape ?

Many thanks
